Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Thrifty platform (“Service”), operated by Accurify Ltd. (“Company”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Thrifty is a digital platform that enables users to create and manage rotating savings groups (commonly known as Ajo, Esusu, or Thrift). The Service provides tools for group management, contribution tracking, payment processing, and communication between group members.

Thrifty is a management tool only. We do not hold, pool, invest, or guarantee any funds contributed by group members. All financial transactions occur directly between members or through integrated third-party payment processors (e.g., Paystack).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

5. User Roles & Responsibilities

Managers are users who create and administer savings groups. Managers are responsible for:

• Accurately setting up group terms (contribution amounts, frequency, payout order).
• Ensuring payouts are distributed to the correct members on schedule.
• Managing group membership and resolving disputes between members.

Participants are users who join savings groups. Participants are responsible for:

• Making contributions on time as agreed with the group.
• Providing accurate bank account details for receiving payouts.
• Communicating with their group manager regarding any payment issues.

6. Payments & Fees

• Thrifty is currently free to use for all users.
• Payment processing via Paystack may incur standard transaction fees as determined by Paystack.
• We reserve the right to introduce platform fees in the future with prior notice.
• Thrifty does not process, hold, or have access to funds transferred between members.

7. Limitation of Liability

Thrifty provides a management tool and does not guarantee the performance or trustworthiness of any group member. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any financial loss resulting from a member defaulting on contributions.
• We are not liable for any disputes between group members or managers.
• We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized access to your account.
• The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity.
• Create fake accounts or impersonate another person.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to access another user's account without authorization.
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with Thrifty are the property of Accurify Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lagos, Nigeria.
